What is a Digital Video Recorder?

A Digital Video Recorder is a recording device that uses a hard disk drive or optical disk drive, instead of a VCR tape, to record video events in a digital format to a Hard Disk Drive (HDD). Digital Video Recorders have become the main way for businesses to record their daily activities through CCTV cameras surveillance.
